It was a great day in American politics. In other words, one of those clear days when you can see forever, when the differences between the two parties stands right up there for all to see.
Did you see Donald Trump out there with his new prize candidate? Did you see Mitt Romney standing up there like he'd just won the Miss World contest, the latest prize figure in the world of Donald Trump, a world of golden buildings and high-rise casinos where it's hard to find the elevators, where all you can see are the endless rows of slots, black jack croupiers and roulette wheels?
But we Americans just want to make it to the elevators, Donald. Why are you trying to hook us into the latest games where you know - that's why you built this place! - all favor the house.
No, life isn't a casino and most people can't afford to do business with Trump. Like those "very poor" that never come through the door - even though some people leave those casinos in that category!
Those "very poor" are not on Mitt Romney's telescope. He says he's not even thinking about them. They've got this "safety net," he argues - and don't need our attention. They aren't going to be part of the "we the people" under his presidency. "We" - those people are going to be the folks a bit better off.
No, Mitt's looking for the upscale crowd to put him into office, that hidden crowd way back behind the scenes who pay for all those millions of dollars of dirtball ads he used to stomp Newt in places like Des Moines and Daytona.
They're the folks he's going to pay attention to and their need to get a great tax deal, another better deal than the one that has gotten him paying below 15 percent in taxes on twenty-mill a year, that allows him to hide his money in the Caymans.
They're the folks he likes. President Obama? Where was he on Mitt and Donald's big day in Vegas? He was down there having a prayer breakfast - talking about our duty to the poor, about the wonders of that good man Billy Graham. Yes, that's where the president of all the people was - where we want him to be.
Not in Vegas with Trump, not in the Caymans making his latest deposit, not hiding from the "very poor" out of sheer hope they won't be counting on a president like him to be looking out for poor them. As I said, what a day in American politics. When you can see all the way to Vegas - where Donald makes his money - and to those islands in the Caribbean where his new friend Mitt hides his money from Uncle Sam - and, of course, the American people he says he wants to lead.

Now its money that wins not the people , we now have a Democracy folks. Two years ago the Justices saw to it.
Well, that will not prevail. Money is loosing its value when it comes between benevolent concern for others. The president is the only one who have shown to have that. The saboteur GOP congress does not show any concern for the country. The two clown they have as candidates are just carriers of empty words. Romnet AKA Robme comes from a Mormon family that is suspected of taking advantage of Howard Hughes while he was mentally ill. And he is a person who CAUSED the poverty of thousands of workers while working for BANE. Robme capitalism, take the salaries of those who got fired and counted as profits. That is not capitalism. That is a transferring of money from one person to another. Not, by selling or producing but by causing poverty.
So, what is left, The Newt. The biggest hypocrite known. From investigations by the last admin. congress to a life of lust and excesses. If that is the best they can do...I pity them. The GOP is the party of those who do not know that God exist and that He will be judge them by what they could have done that they did not do. Just by casting a vote conscientiously they can do wonders.

Mark 10:21-22 Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said, "You lack one thing; go, sell what you own, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me." When he heard this, he was shocked and went away grieving, for he had many possessions.
WOW!!!! WHat a great statement!!!!
Romney need to read the book I sent you Chris. SO do a lot of republican'ts.
Hey Chris, I'm really torn. I can't decide between the guy that doesn't care about the poor, and the guy that mocks them.
We now know thanks to Morning Joe;Mitt Romney is absolutely without equivocation, "TONE DEAF", from head to heart he's just one BIG TIN EAR a magnificent gift from the Republican loaded supreme court.Unlimited money can't buy you love, Baby He threw his ethics out with the baby bath water along with all good intentions of the past and millions of dollars. "Liar Liar , Pants on fire."
Romney, Romney, Romneyyyyyyyy POOF! Say those words three times and something will disappear or appear. Either way, the words are about as real as a magic potion (#9) sad but true. No wander Romney is happy with Trump's endorsement, so he can learn from a Casino owner, how to getdeep into people's pockets and give them nothing in return or stack the deck or as we say in the real world, "never give a sucker an even break". We may have seen the beginning of a new Mitt image for the run to November dressed as a product of his new mentor Donald Trump, which would make him a TRUMPET.
Chris gets it right again.
Anybody feel like Mitt is short for a mitten hand puppet? Seems to fit, doesn't it?
Uh, OH.....methinks Chrissy Poo is close to getting that tingling feeling running up his leg !
Let me save some of you people some time ANY show on Fox News outpolls ANY show on either MSNBC or CNN in the Nielson ratings ! What that means is that what America wants.....is more of "Fair and Balanced"....and LESS of drivel like Maddow and Matthews !
Romney said "I like to fire people who are servicing me" He did not say whether their service was good or bad. I think that guy was trying to divert the issue. Mitt Romney is not good for the country. He says want he means and then he lets everyone give it another spin and he thinks people are stupid. I will not vote for him. Of course, after those hostages were home free, and seeing how President Obama handled the whole thing, I am now convinced he is what Americans need. 80% of the country will do much better. He has it all done, if he does not win the election he will hand a country almost free of foreign problems to the next president.
The drivel happens to be true. Pity you are not smart enough to recognize it. A study was made last year and it was found that those who listen to the drivel of Faux (news??) Entertainment were completely misinformed. Why? Well, first they do not consult the proper agencies before they announce figures. Second, when they interview they do not let the person speak. Once, they interviewed the President and he was interrupted over 160 times. I tuned in and could not get any info. It was a complete waste of time. I never tune in again. The only one who was a little more entertaining was the crazy lune Glenn Beck. He was an entertainer, funny but it is always good to see the "crazies".
Rebuttal to "jrt1098",
Fox only polls people like themselves (there results are always skewed in all things). They recommend each others books, by from each other, then donate large percentage of them (like to a church group) and call it sales. Most know about games at Fox, and the way willful fools think, especially you.
By the way, John Stewart of "The Daily Show" polls better then Fox, the only difference being that the Daily show knows there joking, people whom quote, watch and believe Fox are the biggest jokes, not unlike you!

Hey, Chris, the president looks a little tense. Could you take care of it, again?"
Chris, I love the way you put in words what the candidates really mean, then afterwords they try to justify themselves. They´re always using the "I didn´t mean it that way" followed up with other supposed explanations as to how to interpret their very obvious statements. I have learned, from you, over the past few years, to what is happening to this country when it comes to politics. I really enjoy your program, it gives me so much insight as a spectator. You give an honest opinion as to what you see, even when others deride you for it , and that is really rarity in politics.
Mr. Matthews I expect you may be thinking of commenting on the contraceptive and health care debate going on and since there is really awful coverage from normally good analysts of religious issues (eg. EJ's WashPost op/ed), I urge your staff to see if they can dig up some analysts that pursue the moral argument of dominion. I advanced it on Rachel's blog (here). The nutshell is that when the church pays a worker their wages, they church is not subsidizing the worker's use of those wages for sinful acts because the church is not cooperating with anything over which they have dominion. They no longer have dominion over those wages. The worker does, and they have the moral duty to use those resources without sin. We both went to Jesuit schools- the human choice thing elaborated on by so many catholic theologians.
Now. Making it more murky, consider if the Catholic church ran a bank into which the worker deposited their wages. The bank is presented a check the worker made out to planned parenthood that is expressly noted as paying for contraceptives. Is the Catholic administrator "cooperating" with the worker's sin if they honor the check? The church does no longer has dominion over how those funds are spent.
The case gets murkier if the compensation is not wages, but health care for which they are legally entitled. The argument is that there is that the worker has dominion over those resources, not the Church. It is their moral responsibility alone and the church is not cooperating with the worker's decision. The Church might be persuaded by arguments that they are morally complicit if they are steward in any way of the workers resources- that is, they run a bank or an insurance company paying out resources the worker is entitled to expend however they choose. In that case, they have two choices. First- don't run intermediate institutions that steward the resources of workers. Second- the the Obama adminstration has no trouble with it if all the users of that intermediate institution agree to the dominion the Church is asserting. But if their are non catholic users recipients, the Church does not have dominion. I know they assert they do, but pluralistic society then does not work since all beliefs are going to make competing assertions of dominion and there ultimately the faithful are on the road to warfare in the streets.
I saw the disgusting Matthews saying his disgusting things again tonight, referring to New't support in southern states, referring to them as the 'Confederacy', thereby insulting both Newt and most of the southern USA as all racists. Whereas in talking about Obama, Matthews practically drools on himself makingus think he has more than a chill up his leg. Matthews is a low life.
We'll stop insulting the Southern states when people stop carrying Confederate flags to rallies (or displaying them elsewhere). To Godwinize this one a bit, it's not quite on par with displaying a Nazi swastika, but it's of the same vein...
Now how about resolving not to make the rest of us pay for your guilty conscience, okay? Same thing is happening here on Planet Utah where everyone claims they aren't racists but the history and culture prove otherwise.
