Mitt Wins Michigan and Arizona. The consensus this morning is that a win - however ugly or however close - is a win. And that's the good news for Mitt. He staved off the Santorum surge, thanks in no small part to a series of gaffes by the old Santorum, the culture warrior, who might very well have blown his best opportunity to shake this race up. The headline on The New York Times is "Romney Regains Stride with Victories in Two States", and it's that kind of upbeat headline that Romney needs to look like the frontrunner heading into Super Tuesday.
The battle now is for Ohio. The pressure's not off Romney - he just stopped the bleeding. But he could get a nice bounce out of last night's victories and end this race next Tuesday in Ohio. Of the ten Super Tuesday states, Romney will win Massachusetts, Vermont and Virginia (where he and his buddy Ron Paul are the only ones on the ballot), while Newt Gingrich may have the inside track in his home state of Georgia. There are a few caucus states in Alaska, Idaho and North Dakota and then three big primaries: Ohio, Tennessee and Oklahoma. If Santorum can survive the onslaught and win in Ohio - which is similar to his western Pennsylvania home turf - this race will go on. If Romney wins, it might be over. Also crucial for Romney - showing he can win in a culturally conservative state. Winning Tennessee or Oklahoma would certainly help, although Santorum has led in recent polling.

The problem is our sports culture. In basketball all we care about is who won. But these aren't baskets, these are the opinions of real people. Who, by the way, have to vote again in November. A narrow victory in your home state, a state which has had 15 statewide races involving Romneys in the past 45 years ... can be a loss.
Incredible - This is what you get when you get two really really bad politicians duking it out!
Santorum did his campaign irreparable damage this past week. Not only did he snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, he has alienated a huge chunk of the voting public. Where he was squarely in charge, he is now playing defense.
It will be interesting to see if Santorum can now win his home state - Pennsylvania.
Just a day ago we were asking if this was the end for Romney - the real question now is - Is this the beginning of the end for Santorum? I think it is.
Romney may have won the beauty contest, but they're splitting the delegates evenly...

Despite winning the popular vote in Michigan's primary, Mitt Romney will split his home state's convention delegates with second-place finisher Rick Santorum.
In today's show you refer to the song "I Believe In You" relative to Obama. In the musical this song is totally ironic and sung by a sleazy social climber to himself in the mirror. This guy is certainly not "a seeker of wisdom and truth". He's a Republican style creep who's trying to create a false image of himself for the purpose of hiding his real intentions.
Blount Amendment - If employer is morally opposed to inter-racial marriage can he refuse family coverage to an employee who marries a person of another race? Can he refuse coverage for an inter-racial child? --- A female employee becomes pregnant and boss has moral objection to unmarried women having children. Can boss refuse maternity medical coverage and child coverage because he/she is against unmarried women having children. Can employer refuse AIDs coverage for someone because the disease was associated with homosexuality and the employer is anti-gay? --- If employer is a born again Christian and believes non-Christians are immoral, can he/she refuse benefits to non-Christians? What about refusing coverage for Muslims because employer believes them to be immoral.
An employer believes women should not work outside the home. He/she must not discriminate in hiring and thus hires women. However if he has a MORAL objection to women working outside the home can he deny medical benefits or other benefits?
Big can of works.

The establishment press has certainly tended to underestimate the importance of one FACT-that growing weakness of Santorum means growing strenght for Romney, then growing weakness of Romney, means growing strenght for Gingrich. The republicans are looking for a WINNER,But they are also looking for A REPUBLICAN@
